The Diptyque perfume house, founded in Paris in 1961, is renowned for its unique blend of fragrances, candles, objets d’art and timeless elegance. For the festive season, the brand entrusted Atelier Bulk with the production of an original, customizable greetings card, designed as an object in its own right.

A card to compose, an invitation to reverie

The Cake Design studio, in charge of artistic direction, has come up with an unusual greetings card: a card to be composed yourself, offering the recipient the possibility of creating his or her own visual by playing with the order and arrangement of the elements.

A decor rich in symbolism and finesse

The card is made up of 5 illustrated, custom-cut inserts that overlap to form a delicate, evocative scene: a majestic peacock, a floating censer, a background inspired by a watercolor painting, and a paper lace that adds an almost tactile dimension to the whole.

To bring this creation to life, Atelier Bulk mobilized all its know-how:

• Custom laser cutting for precise, elegant shapes
• Hot gilding to enhance certain elements with a touch of sparkle

A refined choice of paper

The entire project was printed on Fedrigoni’s Old Mill Premium White paper, renowned for its subtle texture and natural whiteness, perfect for fine, elegant renderings.

Careful packaging down to the smallest detail

A custom-made card and envelope

Each card is slipped into a printed sleeve, designed to protect the inserts while suggesting the mystery of what’s inside. The whole is then placed in a custom-made envelope, for a complete, harmonious presentation that lives up to Diptyque’s high aesthetic standards.
