Hôtel Plaza Athénée – Custom stationery for catering and event spaces

Atelier Bulk has created a range of custom printed materials for theHôtel Plaza Athénée, designed for catering and event highlights such as banquets, brunches and breakfasts. A stationery project designed to respect the historic identity of the establishment, where attention to detail and finish play a central role.

A complete range of printed media

The project includes the manufacture of leaflets, menus, billfolds, towel racks and cards, designed to accompany different uses within the hotel. The entire collection was developed as a coherent whole, allowing for fluid and elegant reading, while ensuring high legibility and durability for everyday use.

Art direction by Violaine & Jérémy

The design of this stationery was entirely realized by the Parisian studio Violaine & Jérémy. The artistic direction was inspired by the codes ofArt Nouveau, through friezes, decorative motifs and rounded shapes, echoing the architecture and history of the Plaza Athénée. Atelier Bulk accompanied this graphic vision, ensuring a faithful translation into materials and finishes.

Choice of paper and printing techniques

The substrates were made from two benchmark white papers: Olin Oyster from papermaker Antalis and Pur Coton Cocaine from papermaker Zuber Rieder. These papers were selected for their rendering, durability and suitability for demanding finishes.

Several techniques were used: gold hot foil stamping for the logos and friezes, dry embossing to structure the decorative motifs, and rounded cut-outs to reinforce the formal coherence of the whole.

A project in keeping with the site’s identity

This project illustrates Atelier Bulk’s expertise in the production of custom stationery for the high-end hotel industry, where precision of execution, respect for artistic direction and quality of finish are essential. A close collaboration between designers and printers, resulting in a functional, elegant and durable printed object.
